RotRaum

Spawned from a simple thought in autumn 2018, what is now called Rotraum began to take its first steps to avoid the looming nihilism of everyday working life. Inspired by a newfound love for old music and the charm of bygone eras from the 60s and 70s, they started experimenting and imitating a sound that could evoke the same emotions. Going through many phases and configurations, they underwent a much-needed learning period to come closer to their goal. Through trials and tribulations, and by adjusting to past missteps, the path forward began to become clearer. No longer bound to a single genre and instead focusing more on their own preferences, the band started to create a sound of their own, aiming to express the many different characteristics of life. Prevailing through time and avoiding the confines of rational thinking, they found new like-minded people to complete the sound palette. Each of the four members brought their own influences and preferences, and the band began collaboratively aiming for the same goal. After gathering many live performances and some releases over the past year, the band is eager to bring their sound to a wider audience.
