With piercingly sincere lyrics at the helm, the Newcastle local’s rich, raw vocals deftly tread the crossroads of folk, indie-rock and country. 2025 saw Winder release a slew of singles - including ‘Parking Fines’, a folk/dance/pop hybrid, ‘Dustbowl Disco’, a folk-country fusion and the delicate, gritty ‘Dog’. Now, after a near ten month break from music which saw him relocate from the east coast of Australia to London, Samuel is releasing a brand new single, ‘Slippin’. A musing on aging, privilege, and perfectionism, the racing folk-rock number pits pensive lyricism against a relentless, driving kit and whimsical, blistering string lines.
