Santa Šillere

Santa Šillere is a jazz vocalist and composer from Latvia, known for her expressive vocal storytelling and vibrant sense of harmony. Rooted in the traditions of jazz and enriched by the Baltic spirit, she brings a heartfelt, modern voice to the European jazz scene. Her music blends tradition with contemporary textures, often drawing from both English and Latvian language and poetry. The album made a strong impression on jazz media across the Baltic region and Europe, leading to Santa’s first European tour in 2024 with performances in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK. She brought her sound to some of Europe’s most storied jazz venues—including Jazz Dock (Prague), B-Flat (Berlin), and Philly Joe’s (Tallinn)—affirming her place among the new wave of European jazz voices. Santa’s work has been nominated for the Latvian National Culture Award 2023 (Debut of the Year) and the GAMMA Awards 2025 (New Artist of the Year), highlighting both her artistic impact and contribution to the local jazz scene.
