Καλοδουλεμένος, underground καλλιτέχνης musique concrète
”I promised myself I would sing ” Sarah Aristidou is an artist. French soprano and agile coloratura, Sarah Aristidou feels every note she sings while radiating great presence. She is a gifted opera singer, vocally serene in classical, contemporary and folk music, as well as live improvisations. Her own projects - including the Cd Aether - transcribe what this young artist aspires to : a shared silence, born from the vastness of an authentic note. Several composers, such as Aribert Reimann, Jörg Widmann and Thomas Larcher, have composed for her voice. Sarah Aristidou transcends limits. She is predestined to do so with a voice artfully combining precision, depth and sensuality. She is the first singer to be awarded the Belmont Prize for Contemporary Music (2022).
