Founded in 2024 in Essex, UK, Shade Of Envy have quickly become known for their creative original songs, thunderous-yet-catchy riffs and energetic live performances. Mashing up influences from Metal, Hard Rock, Alternative and Punk they offer up a dynamic sound that refuses to stick to genre conventions but is guaranteed to get the room moving. The band has been featured on various radio stations including BBC Essex and Cambridgeshire, who played their debut single Sacred Promise before it's release. City Sound Radio hailed Sucker as a possible top 5 song of 2026, describing it as "absolute dynamite". The group made headlines for the first time in the newspaper The Echo when they filmed a music video in Southend for their song I Hope You See Me // I'd Hate To See You, which was well-received and marked their first foray into visual media.
