Shakta is the psychedelic goa trance project of British composer and producer Sebastian James Taylor. Based in London and Brighton, UK, Seb is a versatile artist known for a range of electronic music styles. His Shakta project is considered a pioneering force in the Goa trance scene, active since the mid-1990s, and it is characterized by energetic, classic, and melodic "old school" Goa trance with prominent acidic sounds. Shakta's acclaimed debut album, "Silicon Trip", was released in 1997 on Dragonfly Records. He has released numerous tracks on vinyl and compilations throughout the 90s. His music has experienced a resurgence in recent years, with remastered tracks released on labels like Suntrip Records and, once again, attracting enormous attention from the psytrance scene.
