Sharon Doelwijt - A Journey Through Jazz and Storytelling Sharon Doelwijt, also known as Shjazz, is a jazz vocalist and storyteller who has captivated audiences with her voice, a blend of Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington. Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, and raised in the Netherlands, she grew up in a musical family where her passion for music was sparked at an early age. Sharon has performed with jazz musicians across the Netherlands, France, Italy, and the Caribbean, gaining recognition for her enchanting interaction with the audience. She writes her own songs, including Slowcookin', which blends flamenco with jazz, creating a unique fusion. With her second album Off the Record, she brings the nostalgic sounds of 1920s-1930s jazz to life.
