Shye is an independent artist crafting a hazy blend of dream-pop and soft alt-rock. A fully self-taught writer, producer and engineer, she builds her own intimate DIY universe. Drawing inspiration from Cocteau Twins, The Smashing Pumpkins and The Stone Roses, Shye creates immersive soundscapes filled with shimmering guitars, atmospheric textures and emotionally raw songwriting. What began as a quiet bedroom passion project grew into something bigger. Shye has released multiple genre-blurring projects that continue to resonate with listeners. Her journey has taken her from bedroom demos to opening for artists like The Jesus and Mary Chain, Clairo, Men I Trust, Daniel Caesar and Wisp, to performing across Asia and the United States. Most recently, Shye returns with her sophomore album, The Doves Came Home. A deeply introspective record about clarity, acceptance and finding your way back to yourself. The album expands on her dream-pop and shoegaze influences through towering walls of sound, airy melodies and intimate lyricism, making it a must-listen for fans of the genre. Listen now.
Shye plays in New York City on Tuesday 9 March.
