One of Prague’s leading indie bands, STAYJ [Stay Jay], merges indie rock musicianship with a soulful brass section. A new era for the band is kicking off with Chapter 2: Adventures, an energetic indie brass rock LP mixed in Edinburgh and Prague and mastered by Scotland’s amazing Mark Morrow. The band invites all their fans to the new album’s release gig on April 18th at Palác Akropolis, where the band will perform alongside Marie April & The Fools. STAYJ has performed at the main stages of some of the biggest indie festivals in the Czech Republic, including Povalec, alongside the Czech great Lenka Dusilova. The band has also played in front of thousands of scouts at Park 360, which is the venue of the Rock for People festival, as well as at Prague Vystaviste during the Central European Jamboree. The band also supported the legendary Blue Effect’s musicians’ new album, released by their current band Vanua2 at Lucerna Music Bar. STAYJ have recently headlined two successful concerts in Scotland with up-and-coming local bands. STAYJ’s music conveys the idea that while we may not always find ourselves in the most comfortable situations, there’s usually a way out. The key often lies in having a positive mindset, being confident and believing that there’s meaning to what we do. “Seeing our audience sing our tunes with us makes us so happy. It is in these moments that all barriers between the stage and the audience disappear.”
