Stoned Statues

Stoned Statues, the long awaited vanguard to come out from the Land of thousand lakes and freezing winters. A trio packed with punk attitude, demanding justice for all and standing their ground, 'cause no one else is gonna do it for you. Sakara Records' latest signing, Stoned Statues, released their debut album Stoned Statues in April 2022. The band's music is a combination of punk attitude and alternative metal with catchy vocal melodies. The album is composed by the whole band and the lyrics by singer-bassist Jenna Kosunen. The album was recorded by Jere Isberg, mixed by Miitri Aaltonen and mastered by Mika Jussila. The story of Stoned Statues began in 2019, when 20-year-old Allu Tanskanen and Markus Hakala, who have been making music together since childhood, met their peers Jenna Kosunen at Ahlman's music school in Tampere. The band rehearsed intensively and started booking gigs themselves around Finland. For their debut album, Stoned Statues have toured all over Finland at almost all major festivals, including Ruisrock, Rockfest, Provinssi, Sideways, Tammefest, Qstock, Kuopiorock, Knotfest, Lost In Music, garnering nothing but praise for their live performances even abroad. They also got nominated for the Best Metal album of the year category in Emma´s (Finnish Grammys) and as the Best new act. Stoned Statues won the Best New Act award in Indie Awards 2023 (award gala for independent labels)
