STRINGS & HEART is an indie Christian band made up of three brothers: Angelo, Michael, and Eric Espinosa, who are blending faith-driven lyrics with an authentic indie-rock sound. The trio hails from Tucson, Arizona, and initially resisted musical training in childhood. However, following a transformative spiritual experience around 2019, they embraced music intentionally as an authentic calling rather than obligation. Their music gained notable traction in 2023, particularly with the viral success of their song “flowers dressed in blue,” which significantly boosted their monthly Spotify listeners—from around 13,000 to nearly one million—all without paid promotion. They define their style simply as “indie Christian,” drawing inspiration from a range of artists like The Beatles, Nirvana, Switchfoot, and The Beach Boys, resulting in a sound that spans surf rock to indie pop. ‘PLASTIC WINE’ (Sophomore Album) Released September 26, 2025, includes ‘oasis for my soul’, ‘wildfire’, ‘kerosene’, good shepherd, and the fan favorites ‘evergreen love’, ‘honeydew (praise the Lord)’ and ‘empty airport’, among others. ‘SECRET PLACE’ (The First Album) ‘Secret Place' (with ‘flowers dressed in blue’, ‘rescue’ and ‘more of you’ included) was released in July of 2023 and it aims to invite people to live in an intimate relationship with Jesus; the intimacy that changes lives and brings meaning and purpose.
