Tamarae builds emotion through sound, with voice, texture and electronics. The Paris-based singer, guitarist, and producer builds her world in the space between Indie Soul, Alternative R&B, and electronic production. It's a sound that is both intimate and cinematic – introspective songwriting, wrapped in layered, modern textures. Raised in the Netherlands by a Dutch father and a Hungarian mother from Slovakia, her music inherently lives between worlds. That duality runs through her work: songs about solitude, longing, and finding your place – always carrying an electronic tension that makes her sound unmistakably her own. Her formal training in jazz vocals and guitar at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague provided a foundation she has since transcended. Her debut album The Ocean Knows (2022) received BBC Jazz World airplay. Her 2024 EP Dreams, recorded at Wisseloord Studios, was followed by EU tours and a support slot for Alfa Mist. Now, she's building a new chapter. In 2026 Tamarae has released Resemblance, Tired of Feeling and Rewind — three singles leading to her upcoming EP later this year 2026.
