Tess Liautaud

The music of Franco-American, Tess Liautaud can not be easily defined. It hangs in the balance of her voice, warm like honey; it carries a depth of raw emotion, delivered with melodic grace and country soul. Her songs are easy listening, in that Jackson Browne, dreaming of Laurel Canyon, Americana sort of way, so it would make some kind of sense that she’s found a home on the east side of Christchurch, New Zealand, among the folk singers and the rock'n'rollers. In Paris, Liautaud has been invited on stage to sing with Glen Hansard, Bruce Springsteen and more recently she opened for Tami Neilson.In NZ she has shared stages and collaborated with artists such as Delaney Davidson, The Eastern, Barry Saunders, Marlon Williams, Holly Arrowsmith and Adam Hattaway. Blue Mind garnered international critical acclaim, and in 2025 she completed her first multi-country European tour, aptly named ‘Sleepless in Europe’, she received a warm welcome in Spain, Sweden, Holland, UK and France, headlining shows as well as supporting great U.S. artists such as Sarah Lee Guthrie and Ward Hayden & the Outliers.
