The Bernadette Maries

The Bernadette Maries are a Brussels-based band formed in 2024 by Daria, Guy and Romain. Blending post-punk urgency, shoegaze textures and indie rock hooks, the trio crafts a sound that is both raw and atmospheric. Their music explores love, existentialism and the search for meaning in a world slowly falling apart, drawing inspiration from music, literature, film and contemporary society. Following the release of their debut single “Dream Place” in September 2024, the band quickly gained momentum with “Nouvelle Vague” and “We Know Everything”, leading to their first EP LvvV, released on February 14, 2025. In just one year, The Bernadette Maries have toured across Belgium, France and the Netherlands, performing multiple times at Brussels’ iconic Botanique and sharing stages with artists such as Bodega, Ditz, English Teacher, The Ex, Gurriers, Maquina, New Dad and Humour. After releasing their first music video for “The Closer You Look” in December 2025, they continued their visual journey with “ESO”, released on April 29, 2026, followed by “Missing Bernadette”, released on June 18, 2026. Their debut album SOFT is set for release on September 18, 2026 via Géographie Records. The band will celebrate the release with a show at Botanique (Brussels) on October 20, and a Paris date on October 28 (venue to be announced). Influences range from They Are Gutting A Body Of Water to My Bloody Valentine, DIIV, Fontaines D.C. and Cocteau Twins.
