The First Eloi

The First Eloi is a multi-generational (Gen X, Y, and Z) shoegaze band from Hamburg, formed in 2022 as a studio project by two post-punk/noise veterans and a younger singer. The band’s name is inspired by the degenerate future society depicted in The Time Machine by H. G. Wells. Motel Void, for example, wrote (thanks for that): „One of my latest music obsessions is the German shoegaze band The First Eloi. Hailing from Hamburg, they’ve perfected a blend of ethereal soundscapes and melody that truly defines the genre.
