The Injester

The Injester rose from the shadows this Halloween inviting us into their clown-metal horde with the debut release of two tracks via Transcend Music. It’s a hauntingly theatrical, riff-raging riot, fuelled by heavy guitars, circus-induced samples and brutal beats with the distinctly raucous vox from macabre ringmaster, Ashe. Joining him is Auguste (bass/backing vox), Grym (guitar), Skinface (guitar/backing vox), Yorick (keys/samples) & Morax (drums), powering The Injester’s pandemonium. Together they create a metallic mix of fairground horror, theatre and mania inspired by the likes of Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Faith No More and Mr Bungle. Under their masked layers, this gang of misfits stand for all those who have ever felt outcast, excluded or misjudged. “Clowns have always been misunderstood. The members of our horde are misunderstood. We don't understand the masks we have to wear every day, so we made our own masks that make us understand”, discloses Ashe. Collectively they have played some of metal’s biggest stages, including Download Festival, Bloodstock, Hellfest, Wacken, Hard Rock Hell and countless tours but as The Injester they bring something unforgettable & exciting to the live circuit.
