The Sonic Overlords

The Sonic Overlords were founded in 2017 by Morgan, who then jammed with various musicians for some time, and began writing songs intended for a future album of classic hardrock in the style of the late seventies/early eighties, but with a more modern approach to the production and sound. It took some time to find the right members though. The first one of the now supercharged line-up to join was Per, who took on the drumming duties in 2018. The right singer, Marcus, had already been playing with Morgan in an Ozzy cover band for many years, but since something else was required vocally for this band (the idea was) some recordings with Marcus were done, just to see if he would fit and if he could find his own voice, so to speak. After some hard work and great times in the studio he became a great singer in his own right and joined the band permanently in 2020. The band was completed by Daniel, who filled the bassist position in the spring of 2020. From then on everything went forward at a fast pace. The video for In My Darkest Room gave the band a lot of recognition, and at the same time three other songs were sent out to various record labels to shop for a deal. The first two offers came in the very same day as the demos were sent out, and many more offers followed. A record deal was signed in November 2020, and the rest is now history (being written…) as The Sonic Overlords have found their home on the M-Theory Audio label!”
