Tastemaker to tastemakers, curator & shapeshifter, Tommie Sunshine has a reputation of being consistently ahead of the curve while standing firmly in the zeitgeist. Establishing his name throughout the 90's American Rave scene he became one of the most recognizable figures of early 2000s Electroclash & later in the decade throughout Blog House helped set the stage for the EDM boom of the 2010s. 25 years as a songwriter & producer, 29 as a DJ and 35 as a clubber gives him a unique perspective on the business & informs his present Rave Revival sound. He's remixed Billie Eilish, Bob Marley, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Sofi Tukker, Lenny Kravitz, Elvis Presley, Lizzo, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Major Lazer, Santana, & Fall Out Boy. His original production career spans collaborations with such artists as Oscar nominated & Grammy winner Junkie XL, Chocolate Puma, Grammy winner James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, legend Arthur Baker, Felix da Housecat, Peaches, The Disco Fries & many more. He's released on all of the biggest Dance labels in the world: Spinnin’, Ultra, Armada, Musical Freedom, Heldeep, Size, Mixmash, Dim Mak, & Mad Decent amongst others. Tommie produced 9 tracks for several editions of Konami’s classic arcade game Dance Dance Revolution (DDR). Approaching it’s 600th release, his label Brooklyn Fire provides a platform to young producers just getting started in the business; giving their music mass exposure, DJ support from the biggest in the game & streams into the millions.
He plays a blend of bass house, future house, and rave revival, drawing influences from early electronic scenes and rock, and runs the Brooklyn Fire label.
