TSYTSKA is a Ukrainian Death-Grind band. The band has combined these extreme genres with unique, contrasting elements, such as occasional use of accordion and academic vocals, which collectively define their signature style: "velvet deathgrind." The band was formed by frontwoman Kate Bass as a deliberately provocative side project that originated from a joke at a party. TSYTSKA’s lyrics are tragicomically candid, describing awkward and taboo everyday situations and transforming social conventions into brutal satire. Their striking stage image further amplifies this contrast, blending a leopard aesthetic with the sheer brutality of deathgrind. TSYTSKA is a landmark figure on the Ukrainian extreme scene, challenging genre stereotypes with an all-female lineup. Their long-awaited debut album, "Shit's Gossip", will be released soon. The album promises to be a raw and uncompromising embodiment of the velvet deathgrind sound, capturing the absurdity of modern life in the harshest musical forms.
