Umer Piracha

Umer Piracha is a Sufi vocalist, sound artist, and spiritual technologist whose work bridges devotional music, immersive sonic rituals, and cross-cultural healing. Raised in the Sufi city of Multan, Pakistan and mentored in a 700-year Qawwali lineage, he now lives in New York City, weaving South Asian spiritual traditions with contemporary practices in sound, philosophy, and ecology. His project Resonance of Grace crafts sacred soundbaths performed at sites like Grace Cathedral and Harvard Divinity School, exploring the role of sound in transformation and transcendence. As the founder of Falsa, a transcultural collective blending Sufi, Jazz, and Carnatic improvisation, Umer creates concerts that dissolve boundaries between performer and listener.
