Urban Waste emerged from Queens in 1981 as a vital force in the early New York hardcore punk scene. Their music is characterized by blistering, raw, and confrontational tracks such as Ignorant and Police Brutality. As contemporaries of bands like Reagan Youth and Bad Brains, they helped define the gritty sound of early NYHC.
