Vexxum

Based in West Covina CA, Vexxum goes back as far as 2010, when 13-year-old drummer Matt Anderson and three friends from school got together in a garage to jam. 14 years later, Vexxum rages on, bringing its own form of thrash metal to Southern California and beyond. Ripping the lead guitar is Geremi Perez. Kevin Givens fronts the band, filling both bass and vocal roles. Albert Ponce, the band’s newest addition, completes the lineup. Past lineups have included Vincent Salazar (guitar/vocals), David Contreras (guitar), Edgar Delgado (bass), and Ira Black IV (guitar). Vexxum’s catalogue includes two EPs—Desensitized (Aug 2019), and Hidden Evil (Dec 2021)—a stand-alone single, “Amped Up” (Apr 2020), and a full-length album, Lost in Infinity (Jun 2024). Vexxum has a winning track record in the Wacken Metal Battle, having represented Los Angeles in the West Coast Finals twice. The band has played the Whisky A Go Go numerous times, having opened for the “Big 4” Ultimate Jam Night as well as for Warbringer. In 2022, Vexxum opened for Midnight at Brick By Brick in San Diego, and returned in 2024 as direct support for Crypta. Other notable with whole the LA outfit has shared the stage include Hatriot, Lich King, Nervosa, and Atheist. The band embarked on their first tour in October 2024 to support their album Lost in Infinity.
