Underground καλλιτέχνης psychedelic pop
Xav Clarke is an artist blurring the lines between homespun philosophical lyric writing and wonked-out cinematic soundscapes informed by his composition work for animation and film. His songs fuse realism with transcendentalism - singing about the personal amidst the enormous, life between extinctions, set to a psychedelic indie folk soundtrack where everything that bleeps and bloops is covered in moss and someone's dug out some enthusiasm for life from between the rocks. His latest album ‘Fossil Forest’ was produced by Mercury winning producer Mike Lindsay (of Tunng/LUMP) and accompanied by a three week tour of the UK and Europe. Old 80s Japanese Koto Synths and Bass Recorders give the record a fantasy sound that combine Xav’s compositional arrangements and cinematic qualities with songwriting that is inspired as much by the cosmic tendencies of The Flaming Lips, as the open hearted directness of Neil Young.
Xav Clarke blends philosophical indie folk with cinematic soundscapes, often incorporating whimsical and psychedelic elements. His album 'Fossil Forest' was produced by Mike Lindsay.
