Zabriskie create cinematic shoegaze that expands time — shaping the moments when memory lingers, change unfolds, and time feels suddenly visible. Shoegaze reached Switzerland only as a distant echo. While the genre emerged in early-1990s England, it took until the mid-2010s revival for its hazy presence to truly surface here. Out of this late awakening, only a handful of bands began to shape a local scene — one of them is Zabriskie. The Zurich-based trio blend shoegaze and dream pop into dense guitar textures, soft melodies and drifting harmonies. Following the release of “South Pacific” in November, they return at the end of January with “Once”, the second single taken from their upcoming EP, set for release this spring.
