Underground σχήμα krautrock
Zement is an Experimental-Rock-Band from Nuremberg/Germany. Zement is Philipp Hager, Christian Büdel & Florian Helleken. With their revolving rhythms, swirling synths and rough textures, they seek to build an experience of music manufactory that incorporates elements of krautrock, psychedelic rock, noise rock and EDM! Drawing on influences from the early electronic, Autobahn-inspired works of Kraftwerk, and the hypnotic repetition of Krautrock legends Neu! and CAN, Zement have crafted a unique hybrid sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. Inspired by the works of artists from New York's Downtown scene, like John Zorn, Sonic Youth, LCD Soundsystem, Oneida or Animal Collective, the new album "Passagen" find Zement diving even more further into an eclectic mix of contemporary electronic dance music, combined with influences from Fuzz-Rock, Jazz, Noise and No-Wave sounds. It is set to take Zement’s exploration of sound even further. It delivers more disco, more punch, more glitter, more motorik, more jazz. The endless meditation on the architecture of mind and the movement of bodies continues! Join us on this journey! Continuous touring in the last couple of years also brought them the reputation as an excellent live band! They shared a stage with national and international bands such as Föllakzoid or Russian Circles and also played tons of solo shows.
Zement plays an instrumental blend of experimental rock and hypnotic krautrock, combining motorik beats, swirling synths, and psych-rock textures.
