Underground, αργή βραδιά experimental
Rhythm Race Revolution is an 8-week course with Aditi Jaganathan that uses music and its attendant cultural texts as a site of deep study. The course explores ideas of race, gender, colonialism, healing, and transformative justice through a radical learning space tracing the sonics of resistance. Session 2 focuses on Organic Music Society: A cosmos of being otherwise. Using the life and practice of Don Cherry, participants will explore how he created a radical impulse for life through music. The session covers improvisation and global music study to witness the power of his musical collaborations. Reading lists are provided to attendees.
