Blue Earth Sound is the instrumental project of Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist and composer James Weir, blending cinematic jazz, soul and psychedelic instrumental textures into richly atmospheric soundscapes. Their critically acclaimed debut, Cicero Nights, draws on 70s American soul, Japanese jazz, and vintage film scores. Named after Weir's roots in Minnesota, the project reflects a sense of place and a collaborative approach to music-making. The performance is part of Ronnie Scott's Late Late Show series, which features UK jazz talent in a late-night blowing session atmosphere.
