
Late Late Show with Queertet
Queer, underground βραδιά free jazz
Queertet brings together a collection of London's finest LGBTQI+ musicians to celebrate everything queer about the world of jazz music. Headed by award-winning young saxophonist Tom Smith, Queertet features original material and the music of celebrated LGBTQI+ musicians and composers throughout history, such as Billy Strayhorn, Ma Rainey, Cole Porter and Gary Burton. Queertet performed extensively during Pride 2018, touring London and selling out two shows at Ronnie Scott’s with Ian Shaw, Julian Clary and Sharon D. Clarke. They have also performed at venues such as Pizza Express Soho, Elgar Room at Royal Albert Hall, and at Clapham Omnibus each year as part of their Festival 96.
