Sprachkörper is a performance by artist and electronic musician Leonard Maassen. Situated in a field of poetic diary entries in German and English, the piece treats this personal archive as an emotionally charged, unstable material, navigated live through voice and modular synthesis. Developed for 10-channel audio spatialization during a residency at Lake, it treats the performance space itself as an instrument and the 3D movement of sound as an active compositional parameter. Leonard Maassen is a German artist working across music, spatial audio, writing, and film, with a Master of Composition in Electronic and Produced Music from Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford.
