Nachtmusiken I: Mozarts Clavichord
Νοσταλγική, ωμή βραδιά electroacoustic
Bismarckstraße 35, 10627 Berlin-Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
For the first time since 1842, Mozart's clavichord leaves Salzburg. His own instrument, on which he composed, dreamed, and doubted, becomes tangible in an intimate setting. Set among the whirring sewing machines of the costume department, the music ranging from Papageno to delicate violets feels as if Mozart has just left the room. When the opera doors close and the foyer lights dim, the hidden spaces of the house awaken. Baritone Georg Nigl opens these secret locations—the tailor shop, the backstage area, and the carpentry shop—for three intimate encounters between song and text.
