Mannheim Steamroller

Mannheim Steamroller is a symphonic pop group from Omaha, Nebraska, renowned for their Fresh Aire series and holiday albums. Founded by Chip Davis, the group is a pioneer of 18th-century rock, a unique blend of classical music and rock and roll heavily featuring synthesizers. Since their debut in 1975, the ensemble has explored diverse themes ranging from the four seasons to Greek mythology. They achieved massive mainstream success with their 1984 Christmas album, which remains one of the best-selling holiday records in the US. Their performances often feature rich instrumentation including pipe organs, harpsichords, and grand pianos.
