An international quartet of distinctive voices from the fields of free improvisation and experimental music explores sound as a collective, open-ended process. The ensemble, featuring Daniel Blake on saxophone, Kriton Beyer on daxophone, Matthias Koole on guitar, and Joe Hertenstein on drums, prioritizes spontaneous interaction and timbral exploration over traditional forms. Their music is characterized by the use of extended techniques and a deep attentiveness to the sonic possibilities of the moment, drawing on backgrounds in contemporary composition and experimental sound.
