Rotterdam singer-songwriter and producer Jessy Yasmeen presents her new album Salt & Soil live in BIRD. Her music seamlessly blends neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, and Latin influences, reflecting her Venezuelan, Surinamese, Chinese, and Dutch roots. The album Salt & Soil is a spiritual journey in two parts. 'Salt' captures the search for fulfillment through jazz and boom-bap hip-hop, while 'Soil' focuses on growth and connection with organic percussion and world music influences. For this release show, Yasmeen is accompanied by an extensive live band featuring strings, brass, and traditional instruments like the Chinese guzheng.
