New York Times describes this innovative alliance between two style pioneers as impressively elegant. Chicago-based percussion quartet Third Coast Percussion, highly renowned and Grammy-awarded in the United States, joins forces with fellow Chicagoan Jlin, one of the most forward-thinking electronic musicians of this century. Together they create a soundscape where modern dance genres merge with virtuoso percussion. Inspired by West Chicago legend RP Boo as well as Igor Stravinsky, Philip Glass, Miles Davis, and Eartha Kitt, Jlin's complex percussion-driven work features a refined and unique polyrhythmic sound. Their collaboration, Perspective, composed specifically for this partnership, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for music in 2023.
