Respighi’s Fountains and Pines of Rome capture the history, beauty, and magic of the eternal city. Under the baton of Roberto González-Monjas, the Los Angeles Philharmonic brings the composer’s lush and colorful reliefs to life. The program also features Clara-Jumi Kang performing Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto, a lyrical work combining the influences of Tchaikovsky with the composer’s own sardonic voice, completed just before his return to the USSR.
