Köpenicker Straße 147 Hinterhof, 1. Etage, 10997 Berlin
The fourth edition of the concert series Partners in Crime focuses on distinctive female musicians. The trio Contagious blends avant-garde experimentation and electronic music. For this performance, they collaborate with Lorena Izquierdo, a vocalist and performance artist from Valencia. Their music integrates ideas from diverse scenes including traditional Serbian music, poetry, jazz, and sound art, exploring the power of improvisation and collective action. Lorena Izquierdo is a poet and singer trained in Butoh dance and improvisation. Her work treats the voice as a body connected to action and philosophy, inhabiting the space between music, words, and movement. She also conducts theoretical research on experimental art.
