JD3 is a London-based hip hop-meets-jazz trio formed in 2017, led by Duayne Sanford and co-founder David Mrakpor. Their sound blends Jamaican and Nigerian heritage with rhythms inspired by J Dilla’s productions. Joined by South London MC Tinyman and a rotating cast of collaborators, the group presents a live interpretation of Dilla's sampled instrumentals, creating a unique fusion of tight grooves where jazz and hip hop collide.
