Boney James

Boney James is a prolific saxophonist, songwriter, and producer from New Rochelle, New York. Picking up the clarinet at age eight and switching to the saxophone at ten, he began his professional career as a session keyboardist for Morris Day before transitioning back to his primary instrument. Known for his mastery of the tenor, alto, and soprano sax, James has collaborated with legendary acts such as the Isley Brothers and Randy Crawford. With a career spanning several decades and over three million albums sold, he has established himself as one of the most successful and respected jazz musicians of his generation. Despite a serious car accident in 2010, he quickly returned to performing, continuing to release chart-topping jazz albums and earn multiple gold certifications.
