Champion Trees perform live at 100 Club supporting their latest album A Duck's Water Off My Back. Tickets on Mood.
Formed at the University of Cape Town by cousins Francis Christie and Lex Pienaar alongside drummer Langa Dubazana, Champion Trees draw inspiration from 90s indie luminaries like Belle & Sebastian and Pavement. Following their 2022 debut album NOW 3000, their second album A Duck’s Water Off My Back introduces lush arrangements and textural depth enriched by new members James Bickford-Smith, Michael Burke, and Michelle Hromin.
