Les Cris de Paris and the L’Immédiat company explore the works of Monteverdi through the lens of dance. This performance creates an imaginary ballet where sacred and secular themes meet, featuring vocal virtuosity and instrumental color. Known for expressing intense emotion through both music and drama, he utilized dance for theatrical impact in his madrigals and pastorals.
