This symphony, which Mahler described as a resolution to the tensions of his first two, explores themes of nature and reconciliation. The performance features the Orchestre de Paris alongside several of its choirs and contralto Wiebke Lehmkuhl, traversing a journey from the awakening of Pan in the massive first movement to a serene final adagio.
