Tim in een tasje

Albert Meijer, winner of the jury and audience awards at the Amsterdam Student Cabaret Festival 2024, presents his debut solo show. The performance serves as an ode to unconventional grieving following the sudden death of Tim, his partner in the cabaret duo Het Verdriet van Drenthe. Through a blend of songs and stories, Meijer explores themes of death, grief, and loss, questioning the nature of a queer funeral and the strange urge to find humor in tragedy. The Theaterkrant described his performance as disarmingly funny and immensely sad. This event is held as part of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026.
