Based in Montreal, The Brooks has earned a reputation as a formidable groove machine, performing on stages from intimate clubs to major festivals across the Atlantic. This supergroup, formed in the early 2010s, is driven by artistic freedom and a deep sense of technical mastery. Their music is a vibrant celebration of over 50 years of African-American musical evolution, blending funk, soul, R&B, afrobeat, and jazz. With five albums to their name, including the 2024 release Soon As I Can, the band delivers an electrifying performance characterized by flamboyant brass, inventive keyboards, and soulful guitar lines.
