Punks, wavers, avant-gardists, garage rockers, indie poppers, and shoegazers who express their souls in clear Dutch words have united under the banner of the Nieuwe Nederlandse Naïviteit (New Dutch Naivety). Following the release of their second vinyl compilation of Dutch underground music, the movement is touring the clubs. The evening promises a high-tempo succession of artists, ranging from the sobering indie ballads of Mark Lotterman to the avant-garde sounds of Citruks and WitMist, and the energetic gabber-punk of DOMTUIG. Described by The Guardian as 'lo-fi pop pranksters reviving the Dutch answer to dada,' this caravan of underground artists embraces unpolished expression in a threatening world.
