Acclaimed guitarist and composer Chico Pinheiro presents a program blending Brazilian, classical, and jazz influences. Recognized for his exquisite sound and fluidity, Pinheiro has earned two Grammy nominations in the Best Latin Jazz Album category. For this performance, he is joined by pianist Hélio Alves, bassist Mathias Allamane, and drummer Rogério Pitomba to perform original works from his album City of Dreams alongside fresh interpretations of Brazilian classics. His music draws from a diverse range of inspirations, spanning from the bossa nova of Tom Jobim and the folk-jazz of Edu Lobo to the jazz explorations of John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, as well as the classical works of Chopin and Debussy.
