Mr Handel’s Christmas Story is a ‘new’ oratorio to celebrate Christmas and introduce young people to some of Handel’s greatest music. Created by Gabrieli Artistic Director Paul McCreesh, the programme includes highlights from Messiah alongside movements from other oratorios by Handel, adapted and re-texted to create a programme that retells the Christmas story in full. Gabrieli’s full Baroque orchestra and singers will be joined by schools and youth choirs from across London for a performance culminating in the Hallelujah chorus.
