Jazz Woche #8 - SORBD

SORBD brings together five musicians from the European improvisation and free jazz scene, each having developed an independent artistic language. Their interaction creates multi-layered soundscapes characterized by spontaneous interaction, collective energy, and experimental openness. The musicians combine improvisation in changing constellations with conceptual compositional sketches, developing a common language between noisy moments, dense ensemble communication, and sensitive tonal structures. Characteristic of SORBD is the development of contemporary forms of ensemble playing and high interactive joy. In 2024, the quintet released the album Wild Peacock In Transit.
