Respighi’s Fountains and Pines of Rome capture the history, beauty, and magic of the eternal city. The composer’s lush and colorful reliefs come to life under the baton of Roberto González-Monjas. The program also features Clara-Jumi Kang, a rising star performing one of Prokofiev’s most lyrical works, the Second Violin Concerto, which combines the influence of Tchaikovsky with the composer’s own sardonic voice.
