Deer Tick is an American alternative blues-infused rock band hailing from Providence, Rhode Island. Established in 2004, the group features John Joseph McCauley, Christopher Dale Ryan, Dennis Michael Ryan, Ian Patrick O'Neil, and Robert Barry Crowell. Initially a solo vehicle for singer-songwriter John McCauley, the project evolved into a stable band by 2007 with the addition of the Ryan brothers. Their sound has continuously shifted, incorporating elements of folk and boisterous rock across multiple acclaimed albums released through Partisan Records. Known for high-energy live performances, the band has built a dedicated following through extensive touring across North America and Europe.
