Demokratiefest "Schöner leben ohne Nazis"

Schöner leben ohne Nazis is the largest democracy festival in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, taking place for the 19th time in 2026. Under the motto „Schöner leben ohne Nazis“, thousands of people gather every year to set a sign for democracy, diversity, human dignity, and respectful coexistence. The title describes a vision of life without hate and exclusion, filled with respect, freedom, solidarity, and humanity. Three weeks before the Berlin elections, the festival invites people to engage in dialogue and makes the diversity of the district visible. More than 70 associations, initiatives, and institutions present their work with creative activities, games, workshops, information booths, and culinary specialties for all generations. The stage offers a diverse program featuring live music ranging from children's songs and choral music to folk, ska, and rap. It is a festival of encounter where neighbors meet, families discover new offerings, and artists perform on stage.
